Art and storytelling are bound together, they orbit my soul like binary stars, both equally bright and powerful tools for creative expression. It’s been 15 years or so since I decided to pursue a career in visual arts and whether it was book illustration in traditional mediums like watercolor or character design painted digitally, storytelling was there, guiding, pointing and shaping. Which is why I find the most inspiration in the Studio Ghibli movies, in video games with immersive worlds, TTRPGs and, of course, in books.

I believe in being curious to a fault, in disciplined study, in art that is genuine and intentional, which is why I strive to design characters that you as a viewer can take a look at and say to: yes, I know what your deal is, I can guess where you’re coming from and I would like to see where you go next. And if I manage to ignite that spark of imagination in people, I’m happy.
